We forgot to post this cool cover of Spice Girls' "Say You'll Be There" from MØ. The thing is, we've heard this about two weeks ago. Yes, it is - again - our fault, but we still write it though. You'll no longer find the fast-spelling part and the scream like in original version, instead there are dreamy vocals and soothing sounds. The beat's still there, but it's covered in modern vibe.
Haven't we told you that the track is available for free download? Because it is!
P.S.
MØ does it with full heart because, look at the cover title art! Very 90-ish and reminds us of Spice Girls. We swear, lovin' her work!
Music, it isn't always about how many albums have one sold. Music affects people too, both in material and immaterial way.

COMING UP: Dan Croll's Sweet Disarray
Last week, we were just thinking about how 2014 will go in terms of music releases and the coming of new acts. Few minutes ago, we discovered at least two things - one of which we'll spill to you now. Our faith and excitement for the horse year stays for along the year!
The first thing is, Dan Croll's first album - "Sweet Disarray" - will greeted those who live in UK and the rest part of the world on March 10th. While the USA and Canada residents will have longer time to wait, since you'll be able to get it on April 1st (worry not, surely the album release date isn't an April Mop thing). More over, you can pre-order the album through this link.
We've got our ears on Dan's "From Nowhere" since November 2012 and (it's our fault to never check him afterwards) - we haven't heard of him again until this night. Exactly two weeks ago, he published an album teaser video on his Youtube channel. It has reached 4,947 views until this post is being written. We're currently listening to his SoundCloud now - a way to getting our ears back on the right track. And we'd recommend this to you, too!

65 Days to Everyday Robots' Release

We can't wait to hear Damon Albarn's first full solo album, "Everyday Robots", which will be released on 28 April. The Guardian wrote it is confirmed the guests on the Blur's single album including Bat for Lashes' Natasha Khan and Brian Eno.
We still have 65 days ahead of us - less than 3 months and it means only 2 months plus 5 days! So we will leave you with a video of Damon performing "Lonely Press Play", track number 3 from his forthcoming album, on Sundance Film Festival about a month ago.
P.S.
From the album's tracklisting, we're much curious on track number 6, 7, 10, and 12! But don't be confused, we're excited to hear the whole tracks packed in an album, might as well stay calm 'till the date arrives!

#9 Do I Wanna Know?
Being a music listener these days, we are served with wide-range of music and various ways to access it - 8tracks, Youtube, or Spotify - it all depends with where you live and what music streaming application that is able to operate in your country.
In other way, it becomes easier for us to listen to more interpretations of a song from other musician or artist - not the original performer. Yesterday, we stumbled upon an NME's article of Chvrches' cover of Arctic Monkeys' "Do I Wanna Know?". Quoting NME, the Scottish trio performed it during Triple J's 'Like A Version'.
Frankly, we never heard any of Chvrches' song. Yep. We were, in a way, hadn't tried to listen to one or two tracks from 'em. That's why we have no idea what they sound alike - till we saw them playing this song. However, we were aware of them, some publications about them and the singer, Lauren Mayberry.
Our reaction? We like it, actually! Despite the familiar Arctic Monkeys' original heavy sound, our ears don't think Chvrches' version is ugly. We even had better understanding through Chvrches' version than Arctic Monkeys' (sorry, guys). NME also wrote Chvrches is "the latest act to cover an Arctic Monkeys song after Jagwar Ma, Katy B and Miley Cyrus in recent months."
Learning and listening to Chvrches' songs is definitely on our homework list for the following days.

#8 Fader
Lately I've been digging myself to The Temper Trap's songs, and this new habit inevitably brought me back to the first time when I was listening to their Sweet Disposition. Again, my introduction to this Australia-based band came from the radio. Before the announcer told us that its vocalist is Indonesian, I had thought it was native.
(The paragraph above I wrote few months ago. And here I am, trying to continue it with my best.)
I don't really dig them anymore, in fact (it seems that) I haven't dug any musician this year. That could be the main reason why this little space on Blogger rarely seen my update.
Anyway... back to the main topic.
I love love "Fader". My favorite track from all of Dougy Mandagy (vocals), Lorenzo Sillitto (lead guitar), Joseph Greer (keyboards and guitar), Jonathon Aherne (bass guitar), and Toby Dundas (drums) works.
Got my ears glued into it because of its high airtime on the radio I used to listen to every night. There was this night radio show, hosted by two male announcers - whom I adore. The songs which they played during their show leave some marks on my life. Obviously, my musical preference is one of it.
At that time (I think I was in my final year at junior high), the band didn't get huge coverage like they do now. And for the record, "Fader" came after "Sweet Disposition".
Words don't sink, it swims.
- "Fader", The Temper Trap
The vocals and back vocals unite in their own way, making you press the 'play' button again and again. If you're eager to trace their musical root, do listen to this track.
